Everyone is dealing with the aftermath of the Soul Sword attack at the Institute.
Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she’d be at peace. But she is anything but calm. Torn between her desire for her parabatai Julian and her desire to protect him from the brutal consequences of parabatai relationships, she has begun dating his brother, Mark. But Mark has spent the past five years trapped in Faerie; can he ever truly be a Shadowhunter again?
And the faerie courts are not silent. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters’ demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear—before it’s too late.
A LOS snippet: Emma and Jules. TWO MORE DAYS TO LORD OF SHADOWS! *** Please guys, keep spoilers out of the comments. I know there has been a flood of real and fake spoilers -- and you may be excited about having heard those rumors and spoilers but please keep discussion of them out of the comments (which includes spoilery hashtags). Most people don't want to be spoiled so at least give them some time for the book to come out legally and fairly and for them to read it! I don't want to have to disable comments here -- I just want it to be a nice safe space for book fans. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ##lordofshadows #tda #loscountdown ***
Sunny Los Angeles can be a dark place indeed in Cassandra Clare's Lord of Shadows, the sequel to the #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Lady Midnight. Lord of Shadows is a Shadowhunters novel. Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she'd be at peace. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters' demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear-before it's too late.
Kit had only recently found out what a flail was, and now there was a rack of them hanging over his head, shiny and sharp and deadly.
He had never seen anything like the weapons room at the Los Angeles Institute before. The walls and floors were white-silver granite, and granite islands rose at intervals throughout the room, making the whole place look like the arms and armor exhibit at a museum. There were staves and maces, cleverly designed walking sticks, necklaces, boots and padded jackets that concealed slim, flat blades for stabbing and throwing. Morning stars covered in terrible spikes, and crossbows of all sizes and types.
Missa inte att läsa till slutet (även om det verkar som att samma text kommer två gånger) så att ni kan klicka på länken som tar er till en sida där ni kan läsa både kapitel 2 och 3.

“Alec,” Magnus said, reaching out a hand, and his voice was less a warning than a sort of stripped-down urgency—the uncanniness of Faerie had come into the room, and Magnus was moving to protect what he loved.
Home sweet home...🖤 That's a wrap for Clary on #ShadowhuntersSeason2! These 20 episodes have been an amazing journey for our girl Fray and truly for me as well. The lessons learned, laughter shared, and memories made are a treasure to me. All my love to the extraordinary cast, crew, designers, producers, directors, @Freeform, and everyone involved in creating our world. Each of you has touched my heart. I love our #Shadowfam. It's been an honour and a privilege to have filmed 33 episodes of this series with all of you. Thanks you angels as well for joining us on the journey. Here's to 20 more for #ShadowhuntersSeason3. Xx
Cordelia was alone in the hallway. Squaring her shoulders, she pushed open the door to James’ room.
She had never been in a boy’s bedroom before, and it was quite a scandalous action to enter now, but the significance of it seemed small, swallowed up by her worry. James was half under the covers of the bed, moving restlessly from side to side, his face flushed with fever. His nightclothes clung to him, wet with sweat. It was a bright day outside and sunlight speared through the room, illuminating the bowls of burning herbs that Enoch had left behind.
James rolled toward her. His eyes, the color of sunlight, blinked open slowly. “Matthew?” he said. “Matthew, is that you?”
