Serien Shadowhunters handlar om Clary Fray som på sin 18-års födelsedag upptäcker att hon inte är den hon tror att hon är, utan att hon kommer från en lång rad av Shadowhunters - en hybrid mellan människa och ängel som slåss mot demoner. När hennes mamma Jocelyn blir kidnappad, slängs Clary in i en värld av demonjagande tillsammans med Jace - en Shadowhunter och Simon - hennes bästa vän. Nu tvingas hon leva i en värld med vampyrer, varulvar, trollkarlar och feer, och Clary börjar sin resa av att upptäcka sig själv och sitt förflutna och även vad hennes framtid innehåller.
Shadowhunters visas på kanalen Freeform i USA och har precis avslutat säsong 3A.
Alla avsnitt av Shadowhunters säsong 1, säsong 2 och halva säsong 3 finns att se på Netflix i Sverige.
I juni 2018 fick vi det tråkiga beskedet att Shadowhunters kommer att läggas ner efter säsong 3. De sista 12 avsnitten av serien kommer att visas under våren 2019, med start 25 februari.
En kampanj pågår just nu för att "rädda" Shadowhunters och få en annan kanal att köpa serien och fortsätta visa den, detta genom att använda hashtaggen #SaveShadowhunters

So, what does Sony have to say? According to a source from Sony, based on the performance of City of Bones in theaters, the script was weak in regards to captivating non readers, appealing only to the audience of females between the ages of 13 and 19. The City of Ashes budget has been cut nearly in half. The main reason for the delay is the weak script. Sony wants a new script written from scratch for City of Ashes. Sony is hoping for a good script to start filming in 2014, and aim to release the film February 2015 – thus explaining the indefinite postponement. If no satisfying script is met, City of Ashes will be shelved for the time being, and revisited at a later date with a rebooted cast.
Raphael, Magnus saw with an ever-growing sense of unease, was looking at that blazingly bright hole in the ceiling.

I väntan på att City of Heavenly Fire släpps i maj 2014 så kan vi från och med i slutet av oktober läsa The Shadowhunter's Codex. Denna bok kommer att vara samma som nämns i The Infernal Devices och The Mortal Instruments (vet dock inte vad de har översatt den till på svenska) och denna kommer även att innehålla handskrivna noteringar av Clary, Simon och Jace.
The Shadowhunters’ Codex is intended as a guide for fans to the world of Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. It provides a concordance to the many fantastical creatures, places, and things of the books, but also fleshes out the world of the Shadowhunters with new details, new monsters, new runes, new magic.
The Codex is the Codex itself, a textbook for new Shadowhunters, and also notes and art added in by Clary, commenting and updating things. (For one thing, the Codex’s official take on things is often not quite the same as what Clary knows to be true. The facts it claims about warlocks alone are outrageously incorrect!) It also contains many stories not yet touched upon in the Shadowhunter novels: the story of Jonathan Shadowhunter and how the Shadowhunters came to be, the creation of the Silent Brothers, the invention ofparabatai and much more.

Det enda Clary Fray önskar är att hennes liv ska återgå till det normala.
